Christmas organ concert set for 12/6

UNION CITY, IN – Ken Double, an internationally known organist, will present a Christmas benefit on the 1926 Page pipe organ at Firehouse Pipes in Union City, Ind., 7:30 p.m., Dec. 6. Tickets are $10, and proceeds will go equally to the Preservation Society and Shop with a Cop. Coming from Atlanta, Double is donating his services for the concert.

Light snacks will be available, along with wine by donation at intermission. Firehouse Pipes is located at 226 N. Plum St., near the Methodist Church. Firehouse Pipes will be decked out in its finest for the Christmas season.

Tickets for the Christmas concert are available at the UCI City Hall, the UCI Police Department and the Antique Mall.

Earlier that evening, the Arts Depot on Howard Street will be hosting Union City's First Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The Holiday Gift Gallery will be open, and refreshments will be served. First Friday is open to the public without charge.
