GREENVILLE – The Greenville Township Fire Department recently received a donation from the Greenville Elks #1139. The funds will be used to purchase 54 kitchen fire extinguishers, which goes along with the 2013 Fire Prevention Week theme: “Prevent Kitchen Fires.” The fire extinguishers will be given away during the upcoming open house at the Fire/EMS Station, 1401 Sater St., Greenville, on Oct. 13, noon to 3 p.m.
Greenville Township Fire Department expressed their gratitude for the donation and appreciates the partnership of the Greenville Elks Lodge in helping promote public safety through the department’s fire safety and education programs.
