School Fair Parade scheduled for Oct. 5

NEW MADISON – The 80th annual New Madison Community and Tri-Village School Fair Parade will be on Oct. 5, stepping off at 11 a.m., with the lineup starting at 10-10:30 a.m. as usual on Anderson Street between State Route 121 (Snack Shop) and Wilt Road. Participants are reminded to enter from the Wilt Road end of Anderson Street. The usual route down State Route 121 (Main Street) to the Tri-Village School will be followed. As usual, the New Madison Community Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., will be in charge for staging the parade.

The theme of this year’s celebration is Forty Years of Patriot Pride. Judging for the floats will be done a half hour prior to the start of the parade to give the judges enough time to fairly judge. Each float entry must incorporate the theme in the design of the float.

Prizes are as follows: First - $75, Second - $50, Third - $25, and Fourth - $15. A complete schedule of events can be accessed off the 80th Annual School Fair link on the school’s site, which is
