Upcoming Events at the Bradford Public Library

BRADFORD—The Bradford Public Library will host the following programs in the coming weeks.

March 28, 6 p.m.: Resume’ Building – Make Yourself “POP-OUT” for Potential Employers. This hour-long session will focus on the type of information that potential employers will focus on when deciding who to interview or hire. Part of the session will also be composed of the database: Learning Express Library, which includes sample tests for a variety of vocations, lessons on areas that may be deficient, and electronic books on many skill areas. Included in this session will be an introduction to the brand new job-seeker’s database called “A to Z Databases!” If you are seeking a position in any of the surrounding counties, in any job position, you need to see what “A to Z Databases” has to offer. BPL’s Technology Team is thrilled to be able to offer this database for all area communities. For more information on this class or to register, call the library, 448-2612, so materials can be created just for you.

An additional workshop will be held in the near future that will focus solely on the different areas that encompass “A to Z Databases!”

April 6, 13 and 20, 10 a.m.: A Keyboarding and Typing Series will be presented by Bradford Business Teacher, Sharon Moore. To get the most out of your computer and internet experience, Moore will go over all of the keyboard shortcuts and function keys, in addition to helping you hone your typing skills. There is a nominal fee of $10 for all three sessions. Call Bradford Public Library, 448-2612, to sign-up.

April 11 and 25, 6-7:15 p.m.: “Enter the World of GOOGLE© APPS!” This two session series is FREE! Bring your own laptop or use one of the library’s the sessions will cover Google Mail, Google Calendar, and an introduction to Google DRIVE. Contact the library at 448-2612 to sign-up for these sessions. If you are more advanced and would like additional workshops on Google Applications, please call Cherie at the library and we will personalize a session just for you!

April 27 (tentative date), 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: ANNUAL PLANT SWAP! Along with a large variety of FREE cuttings and different plants to choose from, a workshop session on gardening will also be held! For gardeners who are dividing plants this year and wish to bring in plants to give away, BPL will open at 9:30 a.m. for you! This is a fun event and will be the kick-off for our Adult Summer Reading Club entitled – “We Root for Books!” The library is planning some very exciting events for the adults this summer!
