The Darke County Sheriff has issued a Level 1 Snow Advisory for Unincorporated Areas of Darke County

Sheriff Toby L. Spencer announced that as of 11 a.m. today, March 6, 2013 Darke County will remain at a Level 1 snow advisory for the unincorporated areas of Darke County. Level 1 is when all roadways in the unincorporated areas including State Highways, County and Township roads are hazardous. Extreme caution should be used if travel in these areas is necessary.

Travel is not being limited at this time. Cities and Villages are improving however, road crews in the unincorporated areas are facing challenges due to blowing and drifting snow in the rural open areas. This is causing some roadways to remain slick and hazardous.

Thank you for your patience during these winter weather conditions.

Authority Darke County Sheriff Toby L. Spencer
