Hometown health care’s impact on our way of life

GREENVILLE--Hometown health care has been provided to Darke County by Wayne HealthCare for over 80 years. The Ohio Hospital Association and the American Hospital Association credit local hospitals as major employers as well as having a major economic impact on the communities they serve.

“Although accessibility to quality health care is the highest importance for Darke County citizens”, states Mike Pressnall, Executive Director of the Wayne Hospital Foundation and Marketing Director, “Wayne HealthCare also provides over 500 local jobs and supports a multitude of other local businesses through the purchases of goods and services.”

Pressnall continues, “We are devoted to providing quality health care from birth to old age through inpatient services as well as outreach programs such as our Wellness initiative, The Wayne HealthCare Challenge. We want to thank the community for allowing us to care and provide for them for the last 80 years. We are committed to continuing the tradition as evidenced by our latest expansions: the radiation/oncology center, our new Wellness Enhancement Center, and our new in-house MRI.”

“Furthermore, recent reports from AHA (American Hospital Association) and OHA (Ohio Hospital Association) state hometown health care really equates to healthier economics and healthier communities. Wayne HealthCare is providing a healthier way of life for Darke County”, concludes Pressnall.
