After over a year of planning, fund raising and construction, “Scentral Park” can finally and officially be opened to the public. In collaboration with the Darke County Commissioners, the Darke County Animal Shelter and the Darke County Friends of Shelter, “Scentral Park” will be opening 1 p.m. during a Grand Opening Ceremony.
The realization of this big project would not have been possible without the help and donations of local businesses and private donors. The Darke County Friends of the Shelter want to thank everyone who helped make it a reality.

“Scentral Park” is over two acres in size and features walking trails, off leash areas for small and large dogs, seating benches, and ample parking. The Park will be open from daylight to dark and is available to all. Rules are posted for all to follow. Join them for this wonderful event and don’t forget to bring your canine companion.
