These works of art, consisting of the brightly-colored, sugary
marshmallow confections, in the form of rabbits and chicks, are on
display in the "Main Street" area through Easter.
Shown in the photo is a "Peepster Outfit" created by Glenna Martin, Telecommunications Supervisor. It is a little girl's dress, covered in
"Peeps" and accented with tulle and a silk flower. It has a matching hat
and Easter Basket, also covered in Peeps and yellow shoes, complete with "Peeps" on them. Many of the other works of art are scenes or objects created with Peeps.
This event is the brainchild of Darlene Boone, Supervisor of Activities, and it's generated a lot of excitement on our campus. When asked about this new event, Darlene smiled and said, "It's light-hearted, out of the ordinary fun for our residents, families, staff and visitors. Next year we hope to open the contest up to the community."
