GREENVILLE – The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) is coming through Greenville on June 18 and could welcome as many as 3,200 visitors. The group will set up camp on the Greenville High School campus and will visit many areas in and around Greenville.
One of the many themes GOBA riders live by during the seven day adventure is “Eat to Ride, Ride to Eat.” Good food is always sought out by the riders and a lot of it is provided by local non-profit organizations.
Since its beginning 25 years ago, GOBA has always tried to be community-minded and riders are very supportive of the non-profit food booths.
The Darke County Visitors Bureau (DCVB) has information from the health department and GOBA on how to make a food booth successful. The deadline to sign up and come up with a menu is Feb. 27. Deanna York, executive director DCVB, suggests interested vendors contact her before that date to get the information, 548-5158, or visit www.VisitDarkeCounty.org.
