GREENVILLE--On July 4th, the New Madison Kiwanis will once again set up their Sausage Barn at the Tri-Village school to sell their famous sausage sandwiches. All profits generated are donated to the New Madison Fourth of July Association. Tom Farmer, member of the association, reported that plans are well underway for this year’s event. It cost anywhere from $8,000 to $12,000 for the fireworks display, and currently they have collected approximately 75% of this year’s goal. The New Madison Kiwanis supports many organizations from proceeds generated from their Sausage Barn concessions during the summer months. All of their workers are club members or volunteers, and 100% of their profits go to support many local community organizations and services. They meet most Thursdays, 6:30 p.m., at the New Madison Rescue Building (behind Dollar General) For more information, contact club president Bill Marshall, 996-3651, or visit www.newmadisonkiwanis.org.
