Randolph Co. Tea Party to meet

WINCHESTER, IN—The Randolph County Tea Party will meet Jan. 17, 6:30 p.m., at the Winchester Moose. The topics will include United Nations Agenda 21 and the Electoral College.

The speakers for the Jan. 3 meeting were Randolph County Sheriff Ken Hendrickson and members of his staff, and Randolph County EMA/Homeland Security Director Chris Shaneyfelt. The main presentation for the evening was the interaction of local law enforcement, homeland security and FEMA. The group was educated on the history of the federal disaster system, how the agency has transformed over the last 200 years to the current FEMA (now part of Homeland Security), how the federal relief process works in response to manmade or natural disasters and the status of emergency preparedness in Randolph County.

The group meets the first and third Thursday of each month at the Moose. For more information, contact Todd Longfellow, 765-969-4922.
