ARCANUM--The Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society will host a Photo and Paper Preservation workshop on Feb.2, 9 a.m.-noon at 123 West George St. in Arcanum. The workshop includes presentations, question and answer time, and hands on scrapbooking of old photos and creating a journal book or heirloom item from copies of old paper items.
Carolyn Furlong, member of the AWTHS, will present scrapbook pages and photos; Judy Shroyer will demonstrate making heirlooms with items such as a journal book using old paper and antique items; and Annette Stewart, AWTHS Library Chair, will discuss photo and paper preservation tips.
Workshop and lecture is by reservation and donations are appreciated. Please respond by Jan. 28 to 692-6462 or webmaster@arcanumhistoricalsociety.org. Upon registering, complete instructions will be given. Attendees need to bring their own class supplies. Copies of photos and paper items are preferred as well as acid free papers and materials and archival safe photo protectors. In the event of severe weather, the workshop will be re-scheduled to March 2. All questions and registrations can be directed to Annette Stewart.
