Bradford Library offers workshops to improve your library experience

BRADFORD—The Bradford Public Library is offering the following workshops during January:

Jan. 17, 6 p.m.: Updates on the NEW Library Patron Access called POLARIS! Have you noticed when checking your books on-line that the “look” or “format” of the Library Patron Access to your account at Bradford Public Library has changed? Do you know that there are NEW features that you can take advantage of with our new web-based POLARIS? We have moved right into the 21st century of technology for the public library! If you would like to get the most out of using the Library Patron Access, then please attend this one-hour session. Bring along your library card and we will journey through this system together! Light refreshments will be served.

Jan. 24, 6 p.m.: Electronic Reader Party! Did you receive an Electronic Reader during the holidays? Is it still in the box because you are unsure of how to proceed with using it? Let the staff at Bradford Public Library assist you with getting started and know that there are about 30,000 E-books that you can download for FREE through the library’s consortium. Electronic Readers are lots of fun and can range from reading your favorite book to searching on the Web or playing a variety of games. Some E-Readers can also be used to send and receive your e-mails! Lots of fun and lots to learn! After the hour-long session, personal appointments can be made to work specifically with your device! Light refreshments will be served to all who attend! We work with a variety of devices: bring along your E-Reader, have it fully charged, and bring along the USB cable! If you do not have an E-Reader, you can use one of the libraries. If you are not a registered Bradford Public Library patron, then come about 5:45 p.m. so that we can get you signed up!

For more information and/or to sign up for both or either of these workshops, contact Bradford Public Library, 448-2612.
