* Free newborn visits to all first time moms residing in Darke County. The visit includes a free mom and baby check-up, answers to questions, free gifts and coupons, and lasts about one hour. No referral needed, just call the Darke County Health Department, 548-4196 x211.

* Immunizations play a key role in keeping your baby healthy. Children need shots at 2, 4, 6, 12 and 18 months. Behind on schedule? Come to the walk-in clinic Tuesdays, 8-10:30 a.m., and 2-5 p.m.

* Immunizations are not just for children. Adults need booster doses of immunizations to remain healthy as well. The department carries the Meningococcal vaccine, Whooping cough vaccine, and HPV vaccine for males and females to prevent the spread of genital warts and some cancers, as well as protection against Hepatitis A and B, and travel vaccines.
