Darke County Shrine Club gives $45,000

GREENVILLE – The Officers and members of the Darke County Shrine Club recently presented a check to the Potentate of Antioch Shrine for $45,000 for support of the 22 Shrine Hospitals nationally who treat burned children, and children with orthopedic conditions as well as children with cleft palate, cleft lip and wine colored birthmarks.

If you know of some child who needs help please call the local hospital representative, Gene Schultz, 548-0231, or the national help center, 1-800-237-5055. This check represents the countless donations from local people during the fall collection at local merchants in Greenville and surrounding communities; and the donations from businesses, service clubs, and others in Darke County and the Union City, IN area. It also includes memorial contributions, and the proceeds from the sale of aluminum cans.

A big thank you is extended to all who helped make this donation possible.
