Bradford Library hosting holiday events

BRADFORD—The Bradford Public Library will host it’s annual Cookie Exchange on Dec. 8, 11:30 a.m. Participants are to bring four dozen cookies of their choice along with the recipe written on a card. Everyone will share the cookies, family stories and leave with more than four dozen assorted cookies and a recipe booklet.

Also, on Dec. 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., local author Elaine Barker presenting her first children’s book, Robbie & Puffer Take a Trip. The book, illustrated by Barker and Sarah Standley, will be available for purchase and Elaine will be happy to sign a copy and share her writer’s journey. This is the perfect Christmas present for beginning readers and the parents who love reading to their children.

And for those who have put an Electronic Reader on their Christmas list (as well as those who already have one and want to learn more about downloading FREE E-Books from the Bradford Public Library), an early E-Reader Party will be held Dec. 13, 6 p.m.

The library will have several types of devices to preview and try out or you can bring your own electronic reader! There will also be information available on the differences between a number of devices. The session will last about an hour and many of your questions will be answered. This workshop will be hands-on. Remember that E-books can be downloaded on E-Readers, tablets, SmartPhones, or your own computer/laptop.
