Tri-Village School Fair Committee extends thanks

NEW MADISON--Another successful New Madison Community and Tri-Village School Fair has come and gone this past Oct. 5 and 6, 2012. The School Fair Committee would like to thank many community members for their part in the weekend’s events. Without such a great community support, this annual event would not be possible to continue.

The committee would like to thank Danny Stockton from Stockton Studios for being at this weekend’s events and being our professional photographer. Pictures can be viewed or ordered from his website which is stocktonstudio.com. The committee would like to thank Deb’s Wildflowers for their donation of flowers for the Friday night crowning. Also, thank you to the New Madison Mini Mart for donating the prizes for the Little Miss & Mr. Contest and the Poster Contest. The Snack Shop is greatly appreciated for donating the prizes for the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. The prizes for the Crop & Produce Contest were donated by the New Madison Supermarket. The committee would like to thank the Kiwanis of New Madison for donating this year’s prizes for the kid’s games on Saturday. Brewer Sound is a big part of the weekend’s events and should be thanked, too. The committee would like to thank Tim & Tess Hall for being the special escort with their horse drawn wagon for the Grand Marshal this year in the parade.

Brian Rismiller has donated his time for the last four years for our auction and we are greatly appreciative. We have had numerous donations from the community for this event which helps us raise money. Without raising money, the committee would not be able to continue having the School Fair. We would like to extend our thanks to the following donors: Marlin Reier from Pro-Screen Designs, Brian and Jane Jones from The Snack Shop, the Florys from Flory Landscaping, the Andersons from the Mini Mart, the Ketrings from Ketring Meat Locker, Bob Evans of Greenville, Readmore Hallmark of Greenville, Autozone of Greenville, Advance Auto of Greenville, Hot Head Burritos of Greenville, Farmers State Bank, Flaig Lumber Company, Beechwood Golf Course, Brumbaugh’s and many more donations from the baking contestants.

The committee would like you to mark your calendars for next year’s School Fair weekend. The 80th annual New Madison Community and Tri-Village School Fair will take place on October 4 and 5, 2013. The theme will be “40 Years of Patriot Pride.” Please get excited and involved with the committee and help us throw another great School Fair.
