GREENVILLE—Tickets are now available for the Hog Roast and
Auction, to benefit Bridges to College, planned for June 23, 6 p.m. at Turtle
Creek Golf Course (formerly the Greenville Golf Course). According to Marlise
McCallister, Bridges to College trustee and organizer of the event, there are
only 200 tickets for sale and are only $10 each.
Three-time Super Bowl champion Matt Light will be the auctioneer.
The auction will feature several
items including: a football helmet autographed by Matt Light, iComfort
Mattress Set by Serta, a Frigidaire 2-temperature zone wine cooler, Cincinnati
Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinal tickets (Aug. 24), Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis
Cardinal tickets (Aug. 25), Cincinnati Bengals tickets, Indianapolis Colts
tickets, Ohio State Football tickets, Darke County YMCA family membership,
Sound Bar with wireless subwoofer, and a 32-inch high definition television.
Earlier in the day, the Third Annual Karlh McCallister Memorial
Golf Outing is planned for a 1 p.m. start.
The outing will be in a four-person scramble format with a shotgun
start. The entry fee is $75 per person and includes green fees and golf cart.
In addition, a raffle is planned with the drawing scheduled for
Saturday evening, June 23.
Winners need not be present to win and the raffle items include a
football autographed by Matt Light, Frigidaire wine cooler, touch screen
Internet tablet, Rachel Ray cookware, KitchenAid mixer, Blu-ray DVD player,
Callaway golf balls, and gift certificates for rounds of golf (Stillwater, Turtle
Creek, White Springs), area restaurants (Versailles Inn, CJ Highmarks, Montage,
Bistro) and gas cards.
Raffle tickets are one for $5, three for $10 or seven for $20.
They may be purchased from a Bridges to College board member or at Hansbarger
Home Solutions and Montage in Greenville .
Tickets for the hog roast and auction, which must be purchased in
advance, are available at Hansbarger Home Solutions, 548-3174, at Turtle Creek
Golf Course, 548-3563, or online at the Bridges to College website, www.bridges2college.org.
Proceeds from the golf
outing, auction and raffle benefit Bridges to College, a non-profit
organization, that helps students go to college. It provides educational
programming, one-on-one mentoring and scholarships for students in the
