Virtual Law Office Program now in county

GREENVILLE--The Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project is pleased to announce the launch of its new Virtual Law Office Program. This program will utilize innovative technology to bridge the gap between the available Pro Bono Attorneys in the Dayton Metro Area and Low Income Darke County Residents facing civil legal issues and who could not otherwise afford an Attorney.
The number one priority of the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project has always been to ensure equal access to justice for those in need, within its seven county service area. Eligibility is determined by income and applicants must be at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to qualify. Civil cases only – which can include Expungement and driver’s license reinstatement, but may not include criminal matters or appeals. Types of issues which may be eligible are Family Law, Estate Planning, Consumer Issues, Landlord/Tenant Disputes, Employment Discrimination and much more!
The Virtual Law Office is one more innovative delivery method which GDVLP will be using to bring justice to the people and to accomplish this objective more effectively where geographic barriers might prevent needy families and individuals from accessing legal services.
