GREENVILLE—Friends of the Greenville Public Library will host
their annual Used Book Sale May 25, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and May 26, 9 a.m. to
2 p.m. On Saturday, FOL will
furnish brown paper grocery bags that can be stuffed full for only $3. The sale
will take place at PAWS Bingo Hall, across from the Dairy Queen on Martin St.,
Greenville.
Patrons may deliver books any weekday noon to 5 p.m., at PAWS
Bingo Hall.
Funds from these used book sales help to support the Greenville
Public Library by enabling it to purchase items not covered in the yearly
budget. The current project FOL will be
helping with is a security system which will aid in preventing loss which is a substantial cost
to the Library each year.
In supplementing their reading/visual/audio materials, patrons
are contributing to programs and equipment for the Greenville Public
Library. The Friends of the Library
appreciate the many donations and the many customers who support the Used Book
Sale each spring. For information, call
548-1916.
